Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Soak cashews in boiling water for 5 to 10 minutes. Heat water in microwave or use a hot water kettle then pour over cashews in a glass measuring cup or bowl.
Blend the cheese sauce by combining cashews, fresh water, lemon juice, nutritional yeast, turmeric and salt. Blend until smooth, approximately 1 to 2 minutes.
Add drained pasta to a casserole dish. Pour cheese sauce over the top.
Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top and finish with paprika sprinkled on top of breadcrumbs for flavor and color.
Bake uncovered in oven for 15 minutes. Finish by broiling for a few minutes to give the breadcrumbs a light golden color.
